SALT, a unique cultural project housed on a remote beach in the Norwegian Arctic Circle, announces Edvine Larssen and HC Gilje, as two artists creating newly commissioned artworks for SALT in 2015. In addition, London-based artist and writer Caroline Bergvall will present a site-specific sunrise performance on the beach during August. Edvine Larssen (b.1977) is a Norwegian artist mainly working with site-specific, often large-scale installations. Her work fuses space and artwork in an inseparable manner, inviting the viewer to become an active participator. Larssens works are to be experienced by moving through space and spending an extended period of time with them. In this way space and temporality are actual materials in her practice.
