For the third summer, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art is exhibiting a trio of exhibitions with nearly 100 works of the most exciting contemporary studio glass in the world, this year featuring a solo exhibition by Christina Bothwell, works by Dale Chihuly and his contemporaries, and the winners of the 43rd International Studio Glass Invitational from Habatat Gallery in Michigan. Each of the three exhibitions in the Summer of Glass illustrates the artisanal roots of this gorgeous art form and intends to break down the barriers between high art and craft, and underscore the relationship of art and craft to daily life and culture, our natural environment, and the spiritual realm.
