MOSTYN, Wales UK announces a solo exhibition by French artist Camille Blatrix, produced in collaboration with Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, Paris. In 2014 Blatrix was awarded the prestigious Prix d’entreprise Ricard, which annually awards a monetary prize to an emerging French artist whose work has been exhibited at the Foundation’s space in Paris. Blatrix’s work was purchased by the Foundation, and then donated to the Centre Pompidou in Paris. For the 16th edition of the Prize, and for the first time in its history, the Foundation wished to honour the artist with, in addition to the award, a solo show outside France . The exhibition, the first showing for Blatrix in the UK, presents entirely new work by the artist and responds, in part, to his visit to MOSTYN and the town of Llandudno in 2014. The trip reminded him of childhood memories and of returning from a large city to a smaller town to visit family and friends
