The John Toomey Gallery announced that its June auction will feature selected property from The Warshawsky Collection. A portion of the collection, compiled by Roy and Sarita Warshawsky, of Chicago automotive fame, reached world record prices at Sothebys New York in May; additional items from the collection will be sold by Treadway Toomey Auctions on June 6th. Roy Warshawsky, of The Everything Automotive Warshawsky Auto Parts Store and the J.C. Whitney automotive parts catalog, was an avid collector with a special interest in Tiffany and antique automobiles. The sale of the collection will begin with a rare René Lalique hair comb in horn, silver, gold and sapphire glass with Sea Holly decoration, which dates to1900 and has an estimate of $20,000-30,000.
