Clars Auction Gallery announced that they will be offering an exceptional collection of Chinese ceramics from the estate of Dr. Graeme Hanson of San Francisco during the Sunday session of their two-day June 27 and 28, 2015 sale. Dr. Hanson served with distinction at the UCSF Department of Psychiatry for 24 years, prior to which he spent 10 years as a faculty member at Harvard University. He passed away at the age of 79 in December 2014. In addition to his contributions to the field of psychiatry, he was known for his love of ancient Chinese ceramics of which he was an avid collector. Among the highlights of the Hanson collection to be offered is a Longquan celadon glazed dish incised with two lotus sprigs that he originally purchased in 1999 from J.J. Lally & Co, New York.
