Corinne Flax has joined the Bruce Museum Education Department as Manager of School/Community Partnerships. Ms. Flax has an M.A. from Bank Street in Museum Education, and has broad experience in the field, including managing the interactive play space at MoMA, working as a New York Transit Museum educator, and guiding visitors through the galleries at the Guggenheim. Most recently, Ms. Flax was Senior Educator in the Education Department of Wave Hill in the Bronx, where she developed curriculum, forged partnerships with schools and supervised training of new educators and interns. Education is a critical part of our mission here at the Bruce, says Susan Ball, Deputy Director of the Museum. Last year alone we reached more than 15,000 students through our on-site and outreach education programs.
