Sculptor Don Gummer has become the latest in a series of renowned artists to participate in an ongoing public sculpture program sponsored by the Broadway Mall Association, by installing nine large scale works along the Broadway malls from Columbus Circle to 157th Street. The show, which runs through mid-October, is co-sponsored by the New York City Parks Department and the Morrison Gallery of Kent, Connecticut. Beginning at Columbus Circle with a 10 work titled 12-12-12 and ending at 157th Street with After Rome, Gummers Constructivist, modernist and architectonic sculptures in aluminum and stainless steel seem right at home in a city that is celebrated for its grand architecture.
